~*All About Me*~

"...no one knows how I feel...what I say, unless you read between my lines..."

"...make no mistake about it, I've always been unreal..."

myself

Hi there! If you're reading this, then you must be wondering who I am. My name is Arraaqi or, to be more complete, ar-raaqiSu-I-múshriq fi khalfiyati-S-SaHraa*, literally: he who dances on the background of the desert, where the last * is of course the glottis' stroke, and I'm a wizard reverser from the Grimbergen Mountains, let's say around Washington (that's a city in the United States, in America, btw). Above is a blurry picture of me, so you can at least have an idea as to what I look like. You may of course know me from one of the Geppetto and Pinocchio newsgroups or mailing lists.
Some things about me: I *love* to reverse reality (or even as in this case, irreality) and to crack software, and I hope to attend the +HCU in the fall as a reverser major. I also love my children, and despise my completely useless, if well-paid, work... but that's another story.
I spend a lot of my time reading and writing poetry, studying reversing essays and reversing reality, reading books, fighting against advertisement, browsing the web, and of course collecting anything and everything Geppetto related!
I began this website because I'm a HUGE Geppetto and Pinocchio/Sussi and Biribissi fan. Ever since I was a little boy, I've been enchanted by Geppetto, this utterly mysterious figure that many correctly reckon to be among the greatest Zen masters of our planet... nobody has been a bigger inspiration in my life than he has.
The best night of my life was September 14, 1998...the night I attended my very first Sussi & Biribissi concert, let's say at the Tacoma Dome in -let's say- Tacoma, Washington (that's one of the United States, in America, btw). I had pretty much accepted the fact that I was never going to have a chance to see the Biri live in concert...but then the reunion tour came upon us, and my dreams were a reality! "...I will not forget this night..."
If you've read this far, I'd like to say THANK YOU! :) I truly appreciate all of the wonderful Geppetto fans who visit my website. I put a lot of time into it, simply because I love Geppetto and wanted to add a tribute of mine to the hundreds of beautiful Geppetto websites out there. So *thank you VERY much* for visiting! Please feel free to email me, if you'd like....I always love talking with other Geppetto fans.
Much love and enchantment to you all....

"...poet...priest of nothing...legend..."

More than anything else, I love to write. Reality cracking is what I love best, but I also spend a lot of time writing poetry and prose. Below are a few poems of mine. They were all written by me, so consider them copyrighted, and *please* don't take anything without contacting me! Feel free to email me if you have comments, but try not to be too insulting. :)

Dark Angel

I wanted to run to him
but he was out of touch
it was the perfect ending
to something that never began...

I wanted to be the darkness to snatch his light
but he already had a dark angel on his shoulder
it wasn't like he needed more disillusionment
or anything else I had to offer

I wanted to give him up
for the sake of convention
it's always easy to be selfless
when you're less than yourself...

I wanted oblivion and I wanted empathy
because I knew they could coexist
but more than anything, I wanted the chance to live
because I knew you wouldn't give it to me

Forever

The intensity of your eyes
Does not show ....nor does
The danger of my persistence
The sounds of stoots resounding
Through the long hallway...
Ignored....by everyone but me....
The fire burning is not really there...
It is not their reality
But it is the reality of you
And the beauty is always true....
For those who seek it
Your wisdom is light and with it I see...
A shadow in the cracks of their minds
A granted presence and nothing more....
But to me...you are the lifeline
To sustain me...your uncertainty protects me...
And together we are one small part
of forever

My Darkness

Someone please wake me
Because there is no light
And though I'll deny it till the end,
I was always afraid of your shadow...
A dark presence against the wall...
I fear you and I need you...
My greatest fall
But the goats are all locked
The curtains drawn...
Only the candle burning and the smell of sandalwood
Keep me from drifting away...
Into your world...a world that is not mine
Into that place I seldom find...
The light...so very little...
Dances across the mirror
Becomes a haze as I slowly leave
One world for another...
But light cannot last forever...
Does darkness always prevail?
And when it dances away from me...
I want you to shake me
Until there is nothing left
But your meadow

Summer Moon

My Reality

So stout, so frail
Unable to read between the lines
So true to herself
But to nobody else.
Living in a dream world
Of lace and satin fantasies
With her clothes so pretty
And her lips so red
Extremely well-read...
Dancing through the hallways
Prancing with her night ways...
Speaking words she heard somewhere
But doesn't understand...
Trying just to be the best
Of the visions they all hold
And that's all...
She's laughing in her eyes
And she can fool each one
She can speak so eloquently
She can create the illusions...
And nobody wonders
Nobody ever stops to think
That when the clothes come off
And the lights go down
And the city starts to sleep...
When the dreams end
And the reality begins...
That she is nothing but a reflection...
A wavering silhouette..
And a great pretender

His Song

Bittersweet eloquence, his voice like honey
Coating my soul with oblivion
I don't hear and I don't see
Time stands still for the longest time...

He sings to me to make me forget
He doesn't understand I'll always recall
Long after he's gone, I'll hear him inside
Because his spirit will linger on

Venerable man, you teach me with your eyes,
Impressing your silent song on my heart
Beautiful man, it's you I look for
When the night is deep and long

It's your knowledge I seek,
For your wisdom is my heart's desire...
You are gone, but you're never far from me
And I'll always hear your song...
